Clixable Welcomes New Content Writer

Launching a business in mid-2020, at the height of a global pandemic, was, to say the least, a test of faith. But at the time, with over 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, branding, and strategic communication, I saw an opportunity for a new breed of marketing. Small and mid-sized businesses seemed eager for help with content creation—content that told a story and built a brand—and boy, was I right.

Since opening our (metaphorical) doors for business (our team operates remotely), the market has answered with a resounding "thank you." After a successful first two years, Clixable continues to grow its book of business, leading to opportunities to support our community and grow our team.

Content creation, primarily the written word, is the heart and soul of what we do at Clixable. It's also the most challenging, requiring the ability to adapt writing styles to various brands throughout the day. We needed a writer capable of hitting the ground running, flexible in their approach, and who possessed the ability to work independently. After several applications and interviews, Justin Whitcomb was the clear winner.

Justin officially joined the Clixable team on June 20 as a content writer and started hitting home runs on day one—no joke. Since then, Justin has taken ownership of a few accounts, including leading monthly strategy.

Because our team works remotely, those of us who are local try to meet regularly in person. At a recent meetup, I asked Justin what he loved most about the role after his first two months. He said, "I love being able to put my creativity to work alongside my analytical skills. Combining research and data with content is a challenge, but I really enjoy it." He went on to say, "When I was in middle school, my dad taught me that storytelling is a superpower. He was a literature and English educator for years, and he always told stories in ways that people couldn't forget. I love being able to put that superpower into action by building up a client's content library so that they can tell their story in a way that gets their customers truly excited about their products and services."

Justin has quickly settled into a productive daily routine and is profoundly impacting our ability to service our growing list of clients with content strategy, content development, email marketing, social media, local listings, and more. And I'm pretty sure he's just getting started.

When Justin isn't banging the keyboard for Clixable, he has no problem staying busy. He devotes time to playing in his church's band, spending time with family, or working on his ministry at JustinWhitcomb.com.
